Sandblasting

Sandblasting is key to any restoration project. Sandblasting is the optimal process for removing old paint, casting material and coatings. The result will be a smooth, sleek surface that is easy to repaint or resurface according to your desires. Sandblasting process etches the metal for a super-strong bond for the new powder coating. This method of metal preparation is far superior to any chemical wash methods.

If you’re looking to achieve a smooth, bright finish, glass beads can be your best option. Glass beads are typically made from fine soda-lime glass that places minimal stress on the surface material.  We use these on engine parts, aluminum or any other soft surface so the that a smooth finish is achieved after blasting.

Grit Types

Media made from carbon steel is available in shot or grit form. Steel shot is round in shape and can be used for polishing and peening applications. Steel grit offers a more angular shape and sharper texture. It can be used to remove rust, paint or scale from steel surfaces.

Abrasive grits can be used for more aggressive work leaving a dull satin finish and are useful for creating a good surface for bonding of paints, etc.
